Then the Blue Clipper Traineeship might be that experience you have been looking for. Be fully immersed into life as a crew member on board Blue Clipper. Learn every aspect of sailing and working on board a traditional tall ship and gain a recognised qualification too.
Gap Year Opportunity
These traineeships are aimed at young people, 17 to 25, and range from 40 to 85 days on Blue Clipper learning the ropes in full.
What to Expect
Blue Clipper usually has a schedule offering adventure voyages to adult guest crew all over the world. Since the COVID-19 pandemic we will be sailing closer to home but no less exciting with voyages planned to cross Biscay before visiting the West coast of Scotland, Hebridean Islands, Orkney Isles and returning to Portugal down the UK’s east coast. This placement could be a great way to get your foot into the industry and be one of the lucky few who are asked back as a volunteer, or even as paid crew!
